BLINDS
Romain blinds to fit within, or to cover, any window, using modern materials and, following new safety legislation, utilising break-away pulley cords for child safety.
SOFT FURNISHINGS
Using fabric remnants or colour matching for highlighting, soft furnishings, cushions and tasseled tie-backs to add detailing and a modern touch.

I’ve been making, and teaching others to make…
…curtains and soft furnishings for many years. As an adult education teacher and interior design specialist, I know that great design around the home is the makings for any place to live, relax and enjoy family time, and curtains & soft furnishings add the magic touch to every room.

Functional in the summer months, but retaining light and warmth in the winter months, call me and I’m sure we can work out just what you need.

Some of the questions I get asked regularly
Investing in curtains, blinds and soft furnishing, is just that, an investment – you want value for money and you want some appreciation returned over time. i.e. you want people to notice and admire your home. Should you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask and I can provide whatever information you might require.

However, if you haven’t yet sourced it, I might be able to find it cheaper through wholesale resellers.
Otherwise I can make fabric suggestions to go with colours and styles you have already.
How long does it take make my curtains/blinds ?

That depends on all sorts of factors…
Have you got your fabric already, or does it need ordering ? Are you decided on your design ? Have you got your measurements ? What linings do you require ?
On “average” (if there’s any such thing) a drop of curtains is usually about half a day’s work. Blinds can take a similar time, depending on the size and the required casements.
Can you hang my curtains/blinds for me ?
